Abstract :
[en] The therapeutic management of female delayed puberty depends more on the objectives than on the underlying cause. We will have to consider the development of sex characteristics, the occurrence of menarche and the promotion of growth. In this paper, we will review how girls with delayed puberty of different etiologies can benefit from the following therapeutic alternatives: follow-up without hormonal therapy; administration of growth hormone, anabolic steroids (e.g. oxandrolone) or estrogens and progestogens, and psychological support.
