Abstract :
[en] After two years as a secondary school teacher and a career as an university professor, Albert Pissart explains not only the reasons why he chose physical geography but also the more recent divergence of physical geography, notably geomorphology, from human geography. Nevertheless, and in total agreement with Madame Mérenne, he has always championed the unity of the geographical discipline.
