Les traces de buttes periglaciaires (pingos? palses?) des Hautes Fagnes

The viviers of the Hautes Fagnes Plateau were described and the question whether they had been formed by injection or segregation ice was discussed, and following from this, whether they should be called remains of pingos or palsas. Sections cut through 2 of the ramparts were examined and the results of heavy mineral analysis and palynological studies given.
