Abstract :
[en] We implemented a nurse-based anesthesiologist supervised APS in our hospital in Charleroi in 19972. A pain management committee was set up to introduce the different items to enable the settlement of this program. This topic will focus on the nature of the service provided, including staffing and facilities, the training and competence of those running the APS, and the outcome. The implementation of an APS as a continuous quality improvement program by using quality indicators and quality tools was recently published 3. This successful APS inception can be described by means of a fishbone diagram, where the different components (resources, process, education, results) are displayed by four branches.
