Abstract :
[en] Callous unemotionals (CU) traits are characterized by a lack of guilt or remorse, empathy and concern about performance as well as by shallow or deficient affects (DSM 5). The presence of those traits at a young age is a major risk factor for further psychopathology, especially psychopathy but also for antisocial behavior. Research has tended to focus on CU traits genesis through a psychopathological and developmental approach but little is known about early interactions between mothers and CU children.
This study was mainly exploratory and we tested the hypothesis of a link between mother-child early interactions impairments and the development of CU traits in preschool children.
