Abstract :
[en] The assessment of fish behavior in aquaculture environment has always been difficult to challenge, mainly for methodological reasons. This paper briefly reviews the opportunities to bridge the gaps between experimental and actual aquaculture conditions by using biotelemetry techniques for an automated and real time monitoring of fish position, activity, behaviour, physiology, stress and environment quality (physico-chemistry, pollution). Applications, limitations and perspectives of an integrated and objective biomonitoring in aquaculture using the 'probe fish' concept are discussed.
