Abstract :
[en] Since the beginning of the 21th century, physical education (PE) teachers are seen more and more as the corner stones of the promotion of an active and healthy lifestyle at school. All around the world, researchers and practitioners implemented and tested a large array of projects aiming to answer to the recommendations of public authorities in this area (European Commission, 2015; UNESCO, 2017). The updated school and PE curriculum integrate nowadays more clearly health requirements. The goal of the presentation will be to describe an integrative approach underlining how PE teachers could envisage their action in their courses as well as in the school community. It will begin by a synthesis of the school level to point out the main dimensions to consider according to the literature. The second level will propose an original concentric model linking several concepts mobilized since a decade in the literature: from physical literacy to quality physical education. In a third step, the PAMIA principles (Cloes, 2017) will be illustrated while the last level will focus on a new pedagogical recommendation based on field observation: the ‘3P’ questions for PE teachers. The whole model is supposed to guide PE teachers in their daily work but also the PE teacher educators and sport pedagogy researchers. The presentation will propose some interactive activities in order to promote exchanges.
