[en] Parsonage-Turner syndrome, also known as neuralgic amyotrophy, is a rare disorder characterized by painful clinical manifestations mainly involving the upper limbs. This syndrome seems to be triggered, among other factors, by some viral infections, although its pathophysiology remains unclear. Moreover, it has rarely been related to hepatitis E virus infection. We report the case of a 33-year-old man who was diagnosed with Parsonage-Turner syndrome following acute hepatitis E infection.
