Abstract :
[en] Following the recent terrorist attacks, Europe has aknowledged the urgency of investing in
prevention in addition to repressive measures. Many projects are carried out throughout
Germany and Belgium, each with their own respective rationales. Intensive work has been
carried out by the Belgian and German governments to optimize strategies in preventing
radicalization. Prevention against violent radicalization must be transnational in scope, but
it is equally important to take into account the particularities of the local context. The multisectoral
local approach is one way of developing primary and secondary prevention. By
fostering exchange and creating international networks, the different local actors can build
on existing good practices and adapt them to the needs of their own environment.
Teaching is thus one of the key sectors of primary and secondary prevention..
