[en] Adult's phenology of Panorpa spp. is described and analysed : 1. from data collected by revision of collections, giving a middle-sized picture of the activity ; 2. from study of specimens catched by means of Malaise traps, which gives a pin pointed picture in space and time. P. alpina Rambur appears always univoltine. Examples show that bivoltinism can arise facultatively, not only among populations of P. communis L. but also among those of P. germanica L.
