Abstract :

[en] Hip pain is common in athletes, acute or chronic, macro or micro-traumatic, articular or ab-articular and even projected. The short and long-term consequences are sometimes serious. The causes, very diverse, are also variable according to the age of the patient. The clinical examination is insufficiently discriminating, which makes the use of imaging almost systematic. The identification of the precise etiology will allow to establish a personalized treatment and limit the impact on sports performance. Conservative and surgical therapeutic techniques exist. © 2019 Elsevier Masson SAS
