Abstract :
[en] reasonable approach to injury prevention strategies suggests that a single technique, whatever it maybe, will not allow the identification of all risk factors. The complementarity of several tools and techniquesseems indispensable. Clinically, many centers perform isokinetic evaluations at the beginning of theseason, as a preventive intervention in high level athletes. Various publications report the usefulnessof isokinetics in primary and secondary prevention for pathologies sometimes specific to a sport. Otherstudies question the use of isokinetics in order to predict the occurrence of a lesion, particularly forhamstrings. In this work, we discuss the possible reasons for discordant results in the literature.
