[en] This paper deals with the derivation of a simplified model of distribution grids hosting a large amount of Inverter- Based Generators (IBGs) and Induction Motors (IMs). The
reduced-order model is to be used in short-term dynamic simulations of a transmission grid subject to large disturbances. This equivalent model is of the grey-box type and its parameters
are tuned in the least-square sense to match the dynamic response
of the unreduced, original system. For parameter identification, a recursive procedure is proposed. This consists in iteratively adding training signals for the derivation of the equivalent. The
choice of each signal is based on “fitness” scores obtained with the current set of model parameters. This allows selecting a low number of training signals to derive the reduced model in a minimal amount of time. Simulations results are reported on a 75-bus distribution system hosting 75 IBGs and IMs. The accuracy of the equivalent is reported for untrained disturbances.
