[fr] La mise en oeuvre de la sélection génomique constitue une étape majeure dans l’histoire de
l’élevage bovin. L’objectif de cet article est d’étudier comment elle s’introduit dans les pratiques
de sélection de la race Montbéliarde en Franche-Comté. Des entretiens réalisés auprès d’éleveurs,
d’inséminateurs et de techniciens-cadres des entreprises de sélection mettent en évidence comment
les outils génomiques s’imposent peu à peu, suivant un processus d’alliances, de doutes et parfois
de résistances. Les relations historiquement fortes entre l’éleveur et l’entreprise de sélection,
notamment la médiation des inséminateurs, donnent lieu à des mécanismes d’entraînement
mutuel, favorisant l’intégration de cette innovation. À terme cependant, la sélection génomique
vient questionner le savoir-faire de l’éleveur et ce lien au vivant qui fait le coeur de son métier. [en] Genomic selection stands for a main stage in cattle husbandry history. This paper aims to study
genomic integration in professional breeding practices and to highlight implications for stakeholders
using genomic tools. Interviews realized with farmers, inseminators and breeding managers show
to what extent genomic tools are gradually used by farmers through pacts not without doubts and
sometimes oppositions. Strong historical connections between farmers and selection companies
but also mediation of inseminators lead to mutual commitments which foster integration of this
innovation. Sooner or later, genomic selection will come to question the know-how of farmers
