Abstract :
[en] In this conference we propose first a short summary of the main hypothesis about punishment observed in the work of L. Wacquant. Then, through questioning the transatlantic parallels that he has made, both at a conceptual and empirical level, we interrogate also the centrality of the concept of “race” in Wacquant s’ theory.
