P. Garniron u. W. Jaeschke, Hamburg 1986, 139 [Einleitung 1823/24], 208 [Einleitung 1825/26]). Es gibt einen logischen Vorrang des Ganzen. Atomismus ist also keine Methode für Hegel.

Merkwürdig ist ausserdem, dass das erste grosse Buch Russells, The foundation of Geometry (1897)

An elaborate logic, beginning with Parmenides, and culminating in Hegel and his followers, has been gradually developed, to prove that the universe is one indivisible Whole, and that what seems to be its parts, if considered as substantial and self-existing, are mere an illusion. Bertrand Russell, Mysticism and Logic and other essays, 1981, 21.
Als repoussoir bleibt Hegel wichtig für Russell. Vgl. Peter Hylton, Hegel and analytic Philosophy, in: The Cambridge Companion to Hegel, hg. v. F. Beiser, Cambridge 1993.
Vgl: Bertrand Russell, Our Knowledge of the external world as a Field for scientific method in Philosophy, London 1961.

What is supposed to rescue the system of Hegel from subjectivism is the most subjective of things - a dialectic which obeys the impulse of a theoretical parti pris, and glorifies a fixed idea. George Santayana, The egotism of ideas, in: Egotism in German Idealism, London/Toronto 1915, 78.
