[en] This study was conducted in order to show the role of environmental factors in the damage caused by birds on rice. In the Kagogo-Gisumo marsh, 20 plots were chosen randomly for a ornithological inventory and an evaluation of the losses due to the birds. This study revealed that environmental factors play an important role in bird damage to rice
