[en] This article aims to study the specific paratextual devices that frame the individual episodes of the television series "The Corner" (Charles S. Dutton, HBO, 2000). While this series tends to reduce its credit sequence to its simplest form, it also inserts, at the opening and closing of each episode, sequence shots during which the director talks directly to the various characters. This essay examines the forms and stakes of these sequences located at the edge of the narrative.
