[en] In this paper, we propose an integrated framework to estimate the indirect economic impact due to flood risk in Belgium. By taking into account the land-use change and different scenarios of climate change, the economic impact can be estimated at the micro-scale level using an Input-Output (I-O) approach. I-O is an econometric model that represents the structure of an economy in the form of a Production-Consumption (P-C) matrix. From a physical point of view, it corresponds to commodity flows between different sectors classified according to the NACE code. This approach is implemented to describe and to better understand the propagation of higher order damage through the entire economic structure. This tool can be used to take strategic decisions in the case of transport and land-use policies within vulnerable areas.
