Abstract :
[en] This main objective of this thesis is to develop and improve techniques for estimating and predicting rotor angles, speeds and accelerations in the time frame of transient (angle) stability of electric power systems. The investigated dynamic state estimation technique is based on the use of voltage and current phasors that can be acquired in real-time using a PMU (phasor measurement unit) located at the EHV bus of the power system. The research is based on simulation data because techniques for the direct measurement of rotor angle were not available.
