[en] Ambulatory oxygen therapy has become standard care for chronic hypoxemia. Indeed, two large multicenter trials have clearly shown the survival benefit from long-term home oxygen therapy. We present the rationale for using ambulatory oxygen therapy and the different home oxygen systems.
