Abstract :
[en] This paper presents the author's view on various methods used for the evaluation of the behaviour of structures submitted to fire, namely experimental testing, tabulated data, simple calculation methods and numerical simulation. The evolution during the last decades, and the pertinence of these methods in different situations are discussed. The challenges that scientists and researchers are facing now and the problems that will need be addressed in the future are presented.
