[en] Africa seems to be a preferred area of activity for the so-called "emerging countries". Brazil is interested in having closer relations with african countries. It has developed economic, trade, diplomatic and cultural links with Africa. It also tends to develop relations in the field of energy with Nigeria, Angola or even with Algeria as well as a military cooperation with countries like Namibia or South Africa.
