[fr] La radiothérapie conventionnelle a déjà montré son efficacité pour le traitement de pathologies intracrâniennes «bénignes». Cette technique est grevée d’un certain nombre d’inconvénients. Le système CyberKnife®, radiothérapie stéréotaxique robotisée, permet de compenser un grand nombre de ces inconvénients par sa précision et sa relative innocuité pour les tissus sains. Par conséquent, il s’avère être une arme de choix particulièrement dans le contexte du traitement de pathologies bénignes à localisation crânienne. Nous évoquons, sur la base de données publiées, les indications et résultats du Cyberknife® pour des lésions cérébrales 'non malignes'
[en] Conventional radiotherapy is known to be an effective treatment approach even for “benign” pathologies. However, this kind of treatment yields a high potential for side effects. The Cyberknife®, a robotic stereotactic radiotherapy device, enables to offset a large proportion of the disadvantages encountered with conventional radiotherapy essentially through the high precision of dose administration and sparing of healthy tissues. Therefore, it seems to be a treatment of choice in the approach of some benign intracranial diseases. We review published data on indications and outcome of Cyberknife® for intracranial “non-malignant” disease.
