[en] Mammary cytology is part of the breast cancer
test. Its accuracy depends on both the sample quality and the cyto-pathologist’s competence. Extracting cells in a liquid environment allows obtaining smears in less hemorrhagic thin layers, containing more cells and with less interference with the fixation artefact. This technique keeps materiel for further immunocytochemistry and cell biology studies if needed. It will be especially useful in automated analysis. | |
