Abstract :
[en] The project presented, illustrates well the assets of a long collaboration between the University of Liege and the Central University of Ecuador. A consolidation of the results of all this work has been realized through a transfer of knowledge, element which reinforces the sustainability of this co-operation.
It is obvious that a well structured river transport system will open up regions giving them a better accessibility to other zones with limited investments less than road infrastructures and with less bad environmental impacts.
