[en] Because the history is defined as the account of the passed events, this manuscript is an Update research on swine pepsinogens since their discovery by Theodor Schwann. Progress was particularly made in the localization within the gastric mucosa membrane of the specialized cells involved in the secretion of pepsinogens. These progresses also included identification, isolation purification and the classification of the zymogens.
