[en] In a first chapter, fundamental notions of kinematics and statics of continua are exposed. Constitutive loads are treated in the second chapter. In the frame of thermodynamics, with the local equilibrium hypothesis, the fundamental laws of thermoelasticity are easily obtained. The extreme cases of isothermic and adiabatic deformations are also considered and compared. The third chapter presents a somewhat unexpected application of the above theory, that is the damping due to thermoconduction.
