[en] First of all, the article specifies the links between agriculture and geography by emphasising both the speculiarities of the agricultural sector and the evolution of the problems concerning the geographical researches dealing with the agricultural sector. Then, it defines the two main investigation areas of the agricultural geography : the analysis of the production distribution / sharing-out and the researches upon the factors and models of localisation. The two cases show how the authors endeavour to get devices that provide them a better understanding of the ever increasing complexity of the agricultural world. [fr] L'article cherche d'abord à préciser les liens entre agriculture et géographie en mettant en évidence les spécificités du secteur agricole et l'évolution des problématiques des recherches géographiques consacrées au secteur agricole. Il tente ensuite de cerner les deux principaux champs d'investigation de la géographie agricole : l'étude des distributions/répartitions des productions et les recherches sur les facteurs et modèles de localisation. Dans les deux cas, on découvre le souci des auteurs de se doter d'instruments permettant de prendre de mieux en mieux en compte la complexité croissante du monde agricole.
