Abstract :

[en] The present paper is the first part of a review on dietary fibres. Dietary fibres, frequently used in humans, are at present proposed to be incorporated in feed for pets. Definitions, types of fibres and the principal chemical constituents are described along with the potential applications in the agro-industry and therapy.
