[en] The analytical and numerical study of the thermodynamic properties of a regular mono-atomic linear chain leads to a criticism of Blackman's results concerning the specific heat curve and the Debye temperature; it further brings useful mathematical informations for the study of the same properties of a disordered isotopic linear chain.
