Abstract :
[en] Herein, we review the development of forensic medicine in China from ancient times to the present, focusing on the remarkable advancements in forensic identification, education, and research since the founding of the People's Republic of China. With support from the government and the efforts of forensic scholars, forensic medicine in China has made considerable progress in the 21st century, enhancing its international influence. Looking ahead, with the opportunity for forensic medicine to become a first-level discipline, Chinese forensic medicine will continue to achieve great accomplishments in education, scientific research, and social services, contributing Chinese knowledge to the global development of forensic medicine.
