Abstract :
[en] Pseudolesions and anatomical variants of the maxillary bones are often omitted from radiological reports. However, it is important not to overlook them, especially in the context of dental implants, dental infections and neoplastic processes. We explain the basics of these diagnoses to beginners and remind experienced clinicians so that they can provide the best possible care for their patients. There are three main groups of these diagnoses. The first includes hyperostoses and bony growths : exostosis, torus, pedunculated ostema and odontoma. The next includes condensing lesions : enostosis, hypercementosis, root canal remnants and post-infectious osteitis. The last describes radioluscent pseudolesions : mandibular accessory canal, lateral root canal and Stafne's gap.
