Abstract :
[en] The adoption of the LMD (Licence-Master-Doctorat) system in higher education in Madagascar, specifically at the University of Antananarivo (UA), has increased the importance of initial and in-service teacher training. University teachers must support learners in acquiring skills rather than dictating knowledge. To make pedagogical approaches more effective, the creation of the Ministry's Education Sector Plan and a Pedagogical & ICT Support Unit advocates strengthening teachers' pedagogical skills. A series of awareness-raising and training sessions, a plan to equip teachers with teaching aids, TICE workshops and pedagogical days have laid the foundations for pedagogical support. To stabilize actions aimed at improving teaching and student learning, the Belgian (ARES) and Madagascan partners have created the Certificat en Pédagogie Universitaire (CPU). This is a training program in active teaching and learning for teachers. Current research on the effectiveness of an education system shows that initial and in-service teacher training plays a decisive role in the quality of student learning. Our doctoral thesis in Educational Sciences is part of the consolidation of CPU training at the University of Antananarivo (UA). This research is based on the implementation of a monitoring-evaluation approach to reinforce the implementation of the CPU. In our report, we mainly talk about the Study 2 of our theis entitled : "In situ observations of teachers' pedagogical practices in higher education in Madagascar: Adaptation and validation of the Teaching Dimensions Observation Protocol (TDOP)".
