[fr] Ce livre représente un effort de collaboration unique visant à rassembler les multiples aspects de la sémiotique des images à travers une approche cohérente basée sur la théorie greimassienne et post-greimassienne. En commençant par une discussion critique des questions épistémologiques et théoriques et en poursuivant avec la méthodologie et de nombreux exemples d’analyse d’images et de corpus, il fournit au lecteur un cadre théorique cohérent pour l’étude sémiotique des images statiques telles que la peinture, le dessin, la sculpture et la photographie, mais également des images dynamiques telles que le cinéma, l'animation et les jeux vidéo. [en] This book represents a unique collaborative effort to bring together the multiple aspects of the semiotics of images into a coherent approach based on Greimasian and post-Greimasian theory. Starting with a critical discussion of epistemological and theoretical issues and continuing with methodology and numerous examples of image analysis, it aims to provide the reader with a consistent and unified theoretical framework for the semiotic study of visual discourse. It offers a comprehensive overview of the semiotics of static images such as painting, drawing, sculpture and photography, but also dynamic images such as cinema, animation and digital games. Readers will benefit from the special emphasis placed on the analysis of the relation between the plane of expression and the plane of content of the image, its visual syntax, the metavisual and much more.
