[en] Weight goals and self-efficacy in obese patients. People living with obesity have a lower sense of self-efficacy (SE) than the general population. A qualitative study of thirteen patients revealed links between their SE and the weight targets set in their care pathway, making it more difficult to mobilize around the adoption of healthy eating behaviours, regular physical activity, self- image and relationships with others. These findings suggest a paradigm shift in the manage- ment of obesity.
