[en] This presentation addresses the critical role of physical literacy in bridging health care with community settings. Physical literacy, encompassing the motivation, confidence, physical competence, knowledge, and understanding for lifelong physical activity, serves as a pivotal framework for enhancing health outcomes across diverse populations. The discussion focuses on the integration of physical literacy into health interventions, particularly through assessments and counseling sessions for individuals with chronic diseases. The study employs a longitudinal quasi-experimental design involving adults in a controlled versus experimental group setting across three medical centers. Results highlight significant improvements in cognitive and physical dimensions of physical literacy post-intervention. This exploration underscores the necessity of extending physical literacy principles beyond young populations to include adults, particularly those facing chronic health challenges, thereby fostering a more inclusive and effective health promotion model.
