Abstract :
[en] Organized at the request of DOAJ's Managing editors' team, this presentation looks back at the rationale and methods used to develop Compass to Publish, a free online tool created by ULiège Library to help the community identify possible predatory journals. The presentation focuses on some of the methodological choices and challenges faced during the conceptualization phase of the tool. It also provides some general tendencies on how the tool has been used since its inception in November 2021, notably in sharing information on the tool's history and backlog. The presentation concludes with some of the challenges for possible future developments of the tool.
