Abstract :
[en] In soft tissue injuries of the equine limbs, the ultrasonographic examination is essential to make a diagnosis, to establish an orthapaedic treatment and to suggest a prognosis. A good knowledge of ultrasonographic anatomy is the base of musculo-skeletal ultrasonography: this paper presents the ultrasonographic anatomy of the palmar aspect of the pastern and fetlock regions and gives useful technical details to perform a complete ultrasonographic examination of these regions. The ultrasonographic anatomy is described and illustrated by transverse and longitudinal ultrasonographic Sections obtained with a 7.5 MHz linear transducer.
