Abstract :
[en] This review provides an overview of materials from natural and synthetic origin, specifically in the field of bioceramics and bioglasses, applied to bone substitution. The different developmental approaches currently considered to improve the biological performance of these bone implants, mainly the chemical composition, the implants architecture and the functionalization, are also reported. This overview details all the advantages but also the current limits of each tissue engineering technology and thus makes it possible to highlight future oriented strategies.
