[en] This paper will attempt to show how recurring evocations of snowy landscapes in Caryl Phillips's writing contribute to historicizing the Black presence in England, exposing the myth of purity of the so-called Mother Country and thus denouncing the long unacknowledged injustices experienced by colonial migrants.
