Abstract :
[en] Developing sustainable and cleaner applications often leads to the analysis of data intrinsic to the process in question. It allows identifying key performance indicators (KPI), crucial input variables and therefore, to enhance the performance and economics of a given technology. However, it is very common to get lost in the vast amount of information available, which does not enable to take full advantage of the existing data. During the presentation, the potential of data mining as a tool to position and enhancing technologies related to the green chemistry and biotechnology sectors is addressed, highlighting its main advantages. As an example, data mining applied to the research for biofuel production from biomass is presented.Developing sustainable and cleaner applications often leads to the analysis of data intrinsic to the process in question.
