Abstract :
[en] 124 patients were given initial polychemotherapy followed by radical surgery and/or exclusive radiotherapy. A valuable response rate was obtained with acceptable side -effects allowing to deliver the main treatment without undue delay nor adverse effect on normal tissues. In 74 locally advanced cases evaluable at one year minimum, the treatment failure rate amounts to 30%.
