Abstract :
[en] A neoadjuvant chemotherapy combining bleomycin, etoposide and cis-platinum at low dosage was used in head and neck cancer patients. A valuable response rate of 73% was obtained (primary tumours 85% and nodes 61%) with minimal side-effects. Radical surgery as well as exclusive radiotherapy can be initiated without delay. Survival at 2 years for stages III and IV are promising.
