Abstract :
[en] Designed to promote and demonstrate the utility of bamboo in architecture and engineering, House Loti takes the form of a blossoming lotus. The authors came together to propose a pavilion that takes inspiration from traditional bamboo, and rattan craftsmanship. We sought to deliver a project which is utilitarian, adaptable, and able to be rapidly assembled. The final project was assembled by 4 people under 24 man-hours, installed on-site at INBAR Pavilion at the 2019 Beijing Horticultural Expo.
