Abstract :
[en] Since the 80s, the New Public Management (NPM) has influenced the way public services are delivered by introducing market practices.
Of course, the social enterprises supplying public services have also been impacted by the NPM. This is particularly the case in England.
This thesis analyzes the impacts of the NPM on the social enterprises providing health and social care in England. These have been at the heart of the changes put in place in these areas of public services. We base ourselves on the main themes present in the literature in order to carry out this analysis.
We also consider the actions of the authorities as well as the coherence of their political message.
From the evolution in a completely modified environment to the adoption of previously unknown new practices, it is the very conception of what is a social enterprise that seems to be questioned across the Channel.
