The primitive emulsion as a tool for gelatins classification

The most common substrate for photographic emulsions is gelatin. Unfortunately this material can act on the sensitivity of AgHal if it is not sufficiently purified. We have therefore developed a technique for qualifying the purity of photographic gelatins by using them to construct primitive emulsions whose parameters are controlled.
