Abstract :
[en] The worry for an economy to have financial system stability is essential and requires stability of institutions financial. However, regulation and supervision are necessary to maintain stability and trust in the system, to protect investors, borrowers and other users of the financial system against the risks due to failure, fraud, embezzlement, manipulation and other misconduct of financial services, but also to ensure efficient operation, reliable and efficient financial markets. In this perspective, our work aims to understand the phenomena around us since the beginning of the recent financial crisis and its influence on the development plans Prudential. To do this, we have used literature review, supplemented by a qualitative analysis of interview responses conducted with some executives of the National Bank of Belgium, the Commission Banking, Finance and Insurance and insurance sector. The results of this study show that the crisis Financial plays a dominant role changing diets and that prudential. However, they tend to converge respond quickly to the crisis. This speed changes of supervisory regimes following the financial crisis is not without impact on the real economy. Among the new measures taken to regulate and stabilize the financial system, certain requirements (funds equity, liquidity ratios ...) are accumulate and weigh heavily on the need to hold more capital for financial institutions. This hinders the granting of credit and encourages these financial institutions to invest more in bonds than in stocks and products derivatives. Moreover, liquidity ratios are imposed to deal with liquidity problems lead them to focus on the short term rather than on the long term. Our work also shows that some of these new measures are not well received by bankers and insurers. Enough time to make more impact studies is necessary before implementing these new rules in order not to destabilize the entire financial system in phase of “convalescence”
