Abstract :
[en] Ameloblastoma is an odontogenic tumour that represents 1 % of oral tumours but 10 % of odontogenic tumours. Ameloblastoma is characterized by low and noiseless growth, that explains a lot of advanced forms. The tumour is known as benign with local malignity due to its locally invasive behaviour and its recurrence. The treatment choice remains complicated because of recurring nature and large resection in vital anatomical areas. The therapeutic approach will be based on size, anatomical localisation, histologic variants and anatomical complications. The treatment options should be discussed with the patient because of possible important morphological and functional sequelae.
