[en] This paper is a double invitation. Abensour’s is an invitation to rediscover Marx’s thought beyond the “coherentist” readings that significantly flattened its salience by giving it a unity it doesn’t have. Marx gives food for thought by its inner discrepancies or even inconsistencies. Beyond this (re)discovery of Marx, this article contains our own invitation to discover Abensour’s thinking, which remains largely confidential and undeservedly undervalued up to this day. Within the rich constellation of the new critical thought, Abensour’s has a significative heuristic potential. This article proposes to access Abensour’s thought by examining how it reappropriates Marx’s and the theoretical effects this has on our understanding of totalitarianism and the project of emancipation.
